Business Development Programme

This programme is designed for those Franchisees who really want to invest more time working ON their business in order to increase their own skills and drive the growth of their businesses and profits further and faster. It is run over five non-consecutive workshop days (maximum 8 participants) plus a sixth ‘one-to-one’ day, where a Franchise Finance Business Training Academy Coach will visit the business in order to help the Franchisee finalise their Business SatNav (Business Plan) which they will have worked on during the programme.

The first part of the programme on day one examines sets and aligns personal goals with overall SMART business objectives and defines a specific route with specific ‘resting points’ for measuring progress along the way. Participants are shown how to undertake their own ‘MOT’ or business health check and we also begin the process of seeing ‘who else is on the road’ i.e. looking at competitors and at defining our USP (unique selling points).

Day two concentrates on building a costed marketing plan and a detailed HR plan using future annual organisational charts to ensure the business will have the right level of staff and resources to ensure it reaches its business objectives.

Days three and four are concerned with ensuring participants end up with a detailed understanding of business finance, accounts and projections and day 5 is where they use that knowledge and all the non-financial content of their business plan to build their financial projections and set their own KPI’s (key performance indicators) so that they have a clear path to monitoring their progress as they start the next stage of their business journey.

Day six constitutes the on-site review of the draft business plan with related consultancy as required.

Once the training programme and business plan have been satisfactorily completed a Business Development Programme Completion Certificate will be issued which will evidence to lenders and Franchisors that the Franchisee is financially competent and has compiled and is working to a comprehensive and professional business plan. Also, as an added bonus, if that Franchisee needs finance at that point in time and assuming this is built into the business plan they will be eligible for a 50% discount on the normal Franchise Finance Arranging Finance Service fee.

The Business Development Programme is run by Director Chris Roberts QFP and Training Manager Kevin Noble QFP. Both are experienced trainers and coaches and have a wealth of knowledge and good testimonials for the training and coaching they deliver.
